The Empowered Health Project is a youth-run organization that aims to educate young women about racial and gender inequality in medicine. With this information, we intend to give women the knowledge, tools and confidence to self-advocate in the doctor's office.

The Empowered Health Project was formed in the State of California on Oct 22, 2021 as a California Nonprofit Benefit Corporation. The corporation is organized and operated exclusively for public and charitable purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law). We are currently in the process of applying for tax exempt status with the Internal Revenue Service and the California Franchise Tax Board, and we are able to accept donations while such applications are being reviewed and approved by such governmental organizations. Please consult your tax advisor as to whether you will be able to deduct your donations.
